Why we wanted to rethink wedding rings
When we were looking for our own wedding rings, we realized that many of them look surprisingly similar. Yet a wedding ring should be the most personal thing you ever wear: a symbol of the unique bond between two people. Not a mass-produced item that feels cold and lifeless.
The signature in your eye
Our founder, Stefan Wacha—a goldsmith and former neuroscientist—was reminded of the retina: the layer of tissue hidden behind the iris in the eye, which has been regarded for centuries as the window to the soul. And it was through our eyes that we first became aware of one another.

The retina pattern forms before birth and remains unchanged throughout one’s life. It is uniquely personal: not even identical twins share the same pattern. As individual as a fingerprint, yet far more beautiful, its delicate lines resemble roots, branches, or rivers. Organic, intricate, deeply rooted. Handcrafted in Switzerland
Once your design has been approved, our Swiss artisans will bring it to life. Experienced goldsmiths, gem setters, and watchmakers will transform your RETINA® pattern into a work of art, creating a piece of jewelry with the unmistakable sophistication of the RETINA® design.
After just a few weeks, your piece of jewelry will be ready for collection or will be shipped securely worldwide. For international customers, scans can be carried out by trusted partners and consultations can be held via video call – a seamless process that is appreciated by customers all over the world.
