Handcrafted jewelry by RETINA® in Basel is meaningful, one-of-a-kind jewelry made from a person’s retinal pattern. Here you will find our current guide prices – explained transparently and updated regularly.
RETINA® jewelry is unique worldwide and made only in Basel. Rings in gold or platinum start at CHF 2 850, pendants at CHF 1 900. An average pair of rings comes to around CHF 10 000. All figures are starting prices and depend on the current precious metal price, the weight and the execution.

What determines the price of your piece
Every piece is designed for one person. The price follows from that.
The final price results above all from the weight of your piece – for rings, from size, width and thickness – the chosen alloy in platinum or in white, yellow or red gold, any gemstone setting, and special executions such as particular edge profiles or our express service.
The greatest external influence is the precious metal price. It changes daily – which is why we work with starting prices and update our guide values weekly.

On request we come to you: with the RetinaScan, the consultation and the calm that such a decision deserves. Three levels, depending on how far we may accompany you. Prices are starting prices and depend on where you live.

The express visualization is the accelerated 3D visualization of your piece. The price of the home visit is independent of the piece you later choose.
Payment terms
When the order is placed, 50 percent is due by bank transfer, the remainder on collection. We ask clients from abroad for payment in advance. If you would like individual terms such as payment in installments, simply talk to us.

What does a RETINA®Ring cost?
A RETINA®Ring in gold or platinum starts at CHF 2 850. The price depends above all on the weight, the alloy and options such as gemstone settings. An average pair of rings comes to around CHF 10 000.
Why does RETINA® not quote fixed prices?
Because every piece is one of a kind, made by hand for one person, and because the precious metal price changes daily. Instead of a rigid price, we give honest starting prices and, after the consultation, a binding personal quote.
Why do the prices fluctuate?
Gold and platinum are traded at daily prices. Because every RETINA® piece is made individually, the precious metal price affects the final price directly. We update the guide prices on this page weekly, most recently on July 14, 2026.
Will I receive a binding price?
Yes. After the consultation you receive a binding personal quote for your piece. For rings we need your ring size; if you do not know it, we will send you a free ring sizing kit.
What does the 3D visualization cost?
The photorealistic 3D visualization costs CHF 400 per piece and is credited in full when you order. So you see your piece in every detail before anything is made, at no extra cost when you buy.
What does a consultation at my home cost?
A home visit starts at CHF 490 in the Private Visit package and includes travel, the RetinaScan on site and the consultation with the founder. Signature Visit from CHF 890 adds the express visualization and personal engraving; Signature Experience from CHF 1 190 adds the personal handover as well. Prices are starting prices and depend on where you live.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The quote, a two-year warranty, lifelong cleaning and refinishing, and resizing of rings without stone settings are all included. Only for rings with set stones is a small service fee charged for resizing, and worldwide shipping is itemized separately depending on the destination country.
