kleine Rheinperle:
The RETINA® goldsmith workshop brand
Our in-house brand—it all began in 2007 with the little Rhine pearl. This gave rise to the RETINA® concept in 2016, which led to the founding of RetinaDesign AG in 2023.

Handcrafted, custom designs straight from the workshop
In our studio, the kleine Rheinperle, we combine traditional goldsmithing with modern sustainability. Every piece we create is as unique as the people who wear it. We use only carefully selected, sustainable precious metals to create jewelry that is not only timeless but also responsible.
Sustainability for a better future
A new section will be added here soon.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment or can I just drop by?
We recommend that you make an appointment so that we can take our time for you. However, if you would prefer to drop by spontaneously, you are of course still very welcome. This allows us to respond flexibly to your wishes.
Wie viele Personen können auf einem Schmuckstück verewigt werden?
We do not set a fixed limit. Partner rings usually feature one or two retinal patterns, but we have also incorporated the retinal patterns of two children and even immortalized the beloved gaze of a loyal dog.
Of course, when giving a gift (instead of a partner ring), the person giving the gift can also be included—for example, a parent who has their own pattern incorporated together with that of their child.
We have even integrated up to eight retinal patterns into bracelets—both eyes of four family members—a shared history captured in a single piece of jewelry.
Wie funktioniert die Videoberatung?
Simply select a free appointment, and you will immediately receive a Zoom link that you can use to log in at the agreed time.
We are of course happy to see you – but you don’t have to turn on your camera. However, our camera is activated so that you can see us and our screen.
During the initial consultation, we will discuss all the details and try to give you an initial price estimate. However, for an accurate quote—especially for rings—we need your ring sizes. If you don’t know them, we will send you a ring size measuring kit free of charge. If you don’t have a RetinaScan yet, we will help you coordinate an appointment with a partner from our global network—the scan only takes a few minutes.
Once we have received these images from you, we will discuss the design in another Zoom meeting and decide together which retinas and which sections should be used for your piece of jewelry.
Once you have received our offer and, if desired, a 3D visualization via video, we can clarify any open questions either in another video call or, if the questions are minor, by email.
We try to make all these conversations efficient so that we don’t take up too much of your time, but you still get all the information you need to make such an important decision.
Wie sind die Zahlungsbedingungen?
If you would like a 3D visualization, we charge CHF 400 per piece of jewelry—this fee covers the cost of creating the 3D animation and will be credited in full when you order the piece of jewelry, so there are no additional costs.
Upon placing the order, 50% must be paid by bank transfer, with the remainder payable upon collection.
For customers from abroad, we ask for payment in advance.
If you prefer individual terms such as installment payments, please contact us.
Kann die Größe nach dem Kauf angepasst werden?
Yes – this is possible with our special technology. The pattern, which has neither a beginning nor an end, is not altered by the addition or removal of material when reduced or enlarged, and therefore remains completely intact.
Only resizing rings with stone settings is a little more complicated, as the stone setting usually shifts slightly when the size is changed and may need to be corrected. However, this is always checked before our final quality control and adjusted if necessary.
