We were created as unique beings—every human being is a miracle of nature.

Our environment and our relationships change every day. We each follow our own personal path of development, which is different from everyone else’s.

We make our own decisions, and each one changes our present and also our future.

In an age of mass consumption and overpopulation, we often lose sight of how wonderful our existence actually is. We live on a planet that has created so many facets of beauty, and we are only a tiny part of this Earth, which is only a tiny part of this infinite universe.

As Paul Sagan said, our planet is just a small pale blue dot, as observed by the Voyager probe shortly before it disappeared from our reach on its journey into the depths of the universe.

Every now and then (far too rarely), I feel this gratitude, this wonder at being able to experience this unique life, which is anything but a matter of course in this universe, which, to our knowledge, has so far only made life possible on our planet.
