Your access to the window to the soul

And why our jewelry is created not from the iris, but from the retina.

The iris is a small wonder: colored rings, delicate fibers, rays and whorls—like a landscape in miniature. No two eyes are the same. That’s why iris photography is so compelling: it reveals this uniqueness—bold, almost cosmic. No surprise we call the eye the window to the soul.

Yet the deeper story lies behind it: the retina. Its vessel pattern is a hidden signature, a one-of-one code that doesn’t shout— it whispers. That’s where our work begins.

Why we work with the retina—not the iris

  • Discreet & personal: Iris imagery is visible to everyone. The retina signature remains private, meaningful to those who know.

  • One-of-one, guaranteed: Retinal vessel patterns are irreproducible—your ring is truly unique.

  • Aesthetics with depth: Streams, branches, resting points—an organic composition, engraved (Verso) or in relief (Cameo).

  • Emotional closeness: A ring that carries intimacy without being literal. There Is Only One.

How your RETINA® piece is made—step by step

  1. Consultation – wishes, budget, metal (gold/platinum/palladium), profile, width, stones (online or Basel atelier).

  2. Retina scan (contact-free) – quick, professional imaging of the fundus as the basis of your retina signature.

  3. Image & design selection – choose the most beautiful section; define Cameo (relief) or Verso (engraved), edges, surfaces, engravings.

  4. Visualization & refinement – proportions, ring size, details—iterated until it feels “right”.

  5. Manufacture in Basel – precise milling/engraving of the retina pattern, setting, finish, QC.

  6. Handover & certificate – your one-of-one with certificate (retina imagery & data) and lifetime care.
