Wedding rings—personalized with your retina
The most personal wedding rings in the world: handmade in Basel, designed from your unique retina patterns.
The true meaning of the RETINA® ring:
There Is Only One.
Every love story is unique. Your wedding rings should be too. At RETINA®, we transform the hidden pattern of your retina into a timeless design, turning your most personal feature into the ultimate symbol of unity and devotion.
Unlike mass-produced rings, a RETINA® wedding ring bears your identity. Each design is created from the delicate structure of your retina—invisible to the world, but unmistakably yours. The result is a ring that not only shines, but also connects, expresses, and commemorates.
Your RETINA® signature—the soul of the most personal rings
Hidden in your eyes is a pattern that exists only once in the world. We transform this delicate signature into wedding rings that are as intimate, unique, and timeless as the love you share.
The true value of the RETINA® ring
We created the RETINA® ring because a wedding ring is the most personal piece of jewelry in our lives. It accompanies us every day and, like us, should not be a mass-produced product. While searching for our own rings, we realized that there are many beautiful rings out there, but none that met our standards.
In the past, a ring simply meant: I am taken. Our ring should say more than that.
It should express who we are to each other.
What if our relationship were symbolically immortalized in the ring itself? A fingerprint? Too factual, almost criminalistic. Not the symbol we were looking for.
Then our gaze fell to where we truly meet: deep in our eyes.
The retina – the network of optic nerves – is as unique as a fingerprint, but more poetic. Organic like roots that grow and branch out. A personal code, or rather, your signature from the window to the soul.
This is exactly what we use to create your ring.
As goldsmiths, we transfer your respective retinas onto gold or platinum, combining both patterns—two life paths that touch and grow together.
The result is a wedding ring that not only shows that you are taken, but also shows your uniqueness and connection, making the invisible between you visible.
Because others see a beautiful ring in delicate gold on a matte background. But only you recognize what lies behind it – your declaration of love – in the language of your soul.

Your love, made visible
Your love is unique—and your rings should be too. Beauty alone is not enough—it is true meaning that makes them unforgettable.
Every RETINA® wedding ring bears more than just your names; it preserves the hidden signature of your eye, a natural pattern that no one else in the world possesses. When your retina patterns unite, they create a visible symbol of the invisible bond between you—a promise as personal as your love itself.
At RETINA®, jewelry becomes more than an accessory. It becomes the story of your relationship, a timeless declaration of love, shaped in precious metal. Each piece reflects who you are, what connects you, and the journey you continue together.

Frequently asked questions
How much does RETINA® jewelry cost?
Our personalized jewelry starts at $1,500, depending on the alloy and size. Many of our customers also invest $4,000–10,000 in their unique piece of jewelry, depending on their individual wishes.
A gold or platinum ring starts at around CHF 2,700 (variable due to fluctuations in the price of gold).
The exact price depends on various factors, which we will be happy to explain to you in detail during a consultation. These include, above all, the weight (ring size, width, thickness), the alloy chosen, and additional options such as gemstone settings, special ring edge shapes, or express service, if desired.
If you tell us your budget, we can give you the best possible advice based on that.
How many people can be immortalized on a piece of jewelry?
We do not set a fixed limit. Partner rings usually feature one or two retinal patterns, but we have also integrated the retinal patterns of two children and even immortalized the beloved gaze of a loyal dog.
Of course, when giving a gift (instead of a partner ring), the person giving the gift can also be included—for example, a parent who has their own pattern incorporated together with that of their child.
We have even incorporated up to eight retinal patterns into bracelets—both eyes of four family members—a shared history captured in a single piece of jewelry.
How does video consultation work?
Simply select a free appointment, and you will immediately receive a Zoom link that you can use to log in at the agreed time.
We are of course happy to see you—but you don’t have to turn on your camera. However, our camera is activated so that you can see us and our screen.
During the initial consultation, we will discuss all the details and try to give you an initial price estimate. However, for an accurate quote—especially for rings—we need your ring sizes. If you don’t know them, we will send you a ring size measuring kit free of charge. If you don’t have a RetinaScan yet, we will help you coordinate an appointment with a partner from our global network—the scan only takes a few minutes.
Once we have received these images from you, we will discuss the design in another Zoom meeting and decide together which retinas and which sections should be used for your piece of jewelry.
Once you have received our offer and—if desired—a 3D visualization via video, we can clarify any open questions either in another video call or, if they are minor questions, by email.
We try to make all these conversations efficient so that we don’t take up too much of your time, but you still get all the information you need to make such an important decision.
What are the payment terms?
If you would like a 3D visualization, we charge CHF 400 per piece of jewelry—this fee covers the cost of creating the 3D animation and will be credited in full when you order the piece of jewelry, so there are no additional costs.
Upon placing the order, 50% must be paid by bank transfer, with the remainder payable upon collection.
For customers from abroad, we ask for payment in advance.
If you prefer individual terms such as installment payments, please contact us.
Can the ring size be adjusted after purchase?
Yes – this is possible with our special technology. The pattern, which has neither a beginning nor an end, is not altered by the addition or removal of material when reduced or enlarged, and therefore remains completely intact.
Only resizing rings with stone settings is somewhat more complicated, as the stone setting usually shifts slightly when the size is changed and may need to be corrected. However, this is always checked before our final quality control and adjusted if necessary.
